TID Award

It is our aim and vision to create a competition platform to advance Asia Pacific region

interior design.

We consider TID Award the most important platform for creative minds and elite designers to converge on, and the essential field for studies of contemporary Asian living styles and regional culture, allowing observers to record and observe works that present the diversity of modern living.

The Taiwan Interior Design Award (TID Award) has expanded from Taiwan to all the Asia-Pacific Region since 2007. and has become the most professional achievement award for the design profession in this region. Regardless of nationalities, designers who harbor ideas for creative design, passion and dedication are welcome to participate.

The 2019 12th TID Award, the most important competition platform to advance interior design in the Asia Pacific Region, is now calling for entry!

2019 TID Award embraces changes to this year’s participation, judge panels and award presentation.

Participation:

While the main categories remain unchanged, the subcategories have become more specific for participants to submit entries more precisely. This will allow the jury to discuss more thoroughly entries of homogeneous categorization. The same work can be submitted to multiple categories depending on its features (one submission in one category is viewed as one entry). This year, discounts will also be given to submissions during Early-bird registration.

Jury Panels and Award Presentation:

The preliminary and secondary jury panels are comprised of 7-9 professors and experts from design related fields of Taiwan and international juries. The domestic final jury panel is composed of 5-7 judges, and the overseas final jury panel of 2-4 judges.

1. The First Round

The preliminary jury panel will review the entry submitted online.

2. The Second Round

The secondary jury panel will be grouped into three teams to cross-review each category for three days to allow more time for examination. One TID Award will be selected for each category after thorough discussion on every entry.

3. The Third Round

The final jury panel will choose ONE winner of the TID Gold Award from all TID Awards selected from assorted categories. The jury panel will also recommend and select the winners of the TIDING Award (Taiwan Interior Design In Next Generation Award) and the TID Jury Award.

4. The Fourth Round

The final jury panel will jointly recommend ONE winner of the TID Grand Award of Year.

Following the Award tradition, the 2019 TID Award continues to emphasize the uniqueness and originality of design works, attempting to select works more creative and experimental, much closer to daily living, and more responsive to the times. The executive committee has spared no effort to organize and adjust the proceedings of jury panels and award presentation. Regular categories have been given more precise definitions. The committee has also officially included criteria and awards for designs that address sustainability, social universality, innovative techniques, universal design (aging in place) and other designs that represents who we are in this time and age. The 2019 TID Award seeks to express the social interaction and responsibility shouldered by the interior design industry, hoping that the perspectives of interior design may be broadened with new scopes and orientations.

The TID Award jury panels will judge from aspects of art, culture, business and branding, considering elements of art and culture, social innovation, and aesthetics of living in order to generate brand-new chemical reactions. Internationally renowned masters of design are invited to review submitted works from global perspectives, and offer comments on professionalism and aesthetics of interior applications of materials.
